During 2017, all website administrators received a message from Google informing them that the HTTPS protocol was going to become an essential standard. That sooner or later they would have to get on board. Worse than that, Google clearly implied that it would gradually adversely affect the ranking of all websites that were not secured with this famous HTTPS protocol. Today, the 'de-referencing' of non-secure sites is accelerating. And to top it all off, with each Chrome browser update, we have all seen the famous "not secure" message appear to the left of the address bar when visitors visit a site that is not HTTPS / SSL secure.
